There are many ways we fulfil our charitable objectives and you can find out about many of them on this website. For instance we do the following:

• open six historic properties to the public
• carry out research activities into the archaeology and history of Sussex
• host thriving educational services at our properties, and have an outreach service to schools
• organise annual conferences on archaeology and history
• publish newsletters and an annual journal on the past of Sussex
• look after collections of historic and archaeological objects in our museums
• have a flourishing membership

The Sussex Archaeological Society is committed to the principles of Sustainable Tourism. Wherever we have historic properties, we strive to be informative, support the integrity of the place, benefit local residents, conserve resources, respect local culture and provide a quality experience for the visitor.
