The Early Music Shop (Bradford) returns!
We welcome them back with their wonderful displays of early musical instruments, including harps, recorders, lutes and many more.
Michelham Priory's medieval fair and early music exhibition is now in its seventh year, and for those who have not been to this event before, we offer a wide variety of medieval traders' (see list below) with everything for the housewife, the children, and the hunter- gatherer of the family, and the serious reenactor.
There are combat displays by Pelican- in- her -Piety ; the combat gets very competitive!
Pelican-in her-Piety are a well known living history reenactment group who also specialise in Medieval cookery, and demonstrations and talks on this popular subject go on throughout the weekend.
This year, we are welcoming the Free Company, with their award winning living history displays, and their unique take on Medieval life at the time of the Wars of the Roses.
The ever popular Bosco the Jester will be doing workshops for the children, and Wolfshead Bowmen will be entertaining with their famed Archery show, as well as hosting Have-a -go Archery at two sites in the grounds.
The accent on early music makes Michelham Priory's medieval fair unique , and we continue the tradition of presenting a concert on Saturday evening. The concert is a separately ticketed event, and is not included in the admission price for the fair.

The Baroque Singers , conducted by Mark Mortimer.
"The Baroque Singers" is Tunbridge Wells’ premier chamber choir with a distinguished 30 year history. Its repertoire includes major choral works of all periods, madrigals and lesser known works from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
The concert begins at 6 p.m. in the great Barn.
Tickets are priced at £7.50 for Adults, and £6.00 for concessions, and are available from 01323 844224 from August.
