An exhibition of replica mosaics showing the development of the art from the 4^th century BC to the 12^th century AD

The replicas are mainly of mosaics from Ravenna, but also from the wider Mediterranean basin

They range from a simple pebble mosaic to an example of opus vermiculatum, where the very small stone tesserae allow detailed images to be created

The exhibition has been organised by the Municipality of Ravenna in conjunction with Chichester City Council and Fishbourne Roman Palace
