Annual conference
Each September, the Society holds a conference on a theme of local archaeological and/or historical interest.
The Society's 2009 autumn conference, on the theme Change in Rural Sussex: Medieval to Modern, was a great success, with almost two hundred delegates attending and a wide and fascinating variety of talks.
We are already planning next year's conference, which will be an exploration of current knowledge on the arrival, occupation and withdrawal of the Romans in Sussex. More details will follow, but do put the date in your new diaries – 11 September 2010.
