Anne of Cleves House is a charming 15th century Wealden Hall House situated in the Southover area of the historic town of Lewes.
The East Room, with its oak beams, leaded light windows and huge Elizabethan fireplace, offers the perfect romantic setting for your civil ceremony. Candles and flowers add to the atmosphere in summer and in the winter a log fire burns, giving a warm glow to the room. The lovely garden provides a wonderful backdrop for your photographs, making this property the ideal location to celebrate your wedding.
Anne of Cleves House is also available for small buffet style receptions.
Anne of Cleves House can accommodate up to 50 guests for the ceremony and 70 in the garden if you wish to stay on after the ceremony for a drinks reception. We do not have catering facilities, but many couples choose to arrange their own food and drink which can be served by our in-house staff.
Charges for 2009
Our charges for 2009 are £575.00 for the ceremony and £57.50 per hour thereafter. Both prices include VAT. This excludes the Registrar's fee.
If you would like to make an appointment to view the house or if you have any questions, please call Gina Meyer, our wedding co-ordinator, on 01273 474610 , or email her at anne@sussexpast.co.uk
